First time in a while I didn’t need to refresh - unless you count a spritz of hair spray 😜 : First photo is day ☝🏼 and second is day ✌🏼 : ➰Washed yesterday with @acurebeauty lemongrass shampoo ➰conditioned with #LHDC conditioner and left most of it in ➰Styled with @innersenseorganicbeauty whipped creme texturizer, @mycheekycurls lemon drop curl custard and @johnmastersorganics hair spray ➰Diffused until mostly dry using the @xtavaofficial peony dryer and black orchid diffuser : Loving the big and fluffy curls - so light weight but still have some good definition 💓

Betes don’t quit. Had to do a set change at the weekend even though there was no furniture left to sit on. Pro tip - if you delay changing your set because moving you will definitely avoid those hypos 😎😂#donttrythisathome #notapro

Why Dust Your Ends? 🤔 ... . A couple posts ago, I created a video tutorial on dusting your own curls at home. I wanted to show you the immediate results I got after doing this to my curls and discuss why this technique is so important. These pictures were from my wash days immediately prior to and after the dusting. Yes, there were different product combinations used, but they were both great wash days, and much of the difference you see at the bottom of my hair is from that dusting ..... . But really, you should be dusting on a regular basis BEFORE you see any evidence of damage at your ends (oops 🤭). Split ends start out on a microscopic level, so they are there before you can see them. These splits will become larger and begin to cause damage to the previously healthy portions of your hair. If any of you have green thumbs, you know the advantage of pruning the older, ragged areas of your plants and trees to keep them healthy. The same is true for your hair! ...... . I suggest dusting every 4-8 weeks depending on the texture of your hair. Surprising to me, fine hair like mine is actually more prone to damage than coarse, so dusting should be done more frequently.

DAY 13: Cannot Live Without •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Being a Type 1 Diabetic, I obviously cannot live without insulin. Sure I could do injections, but if I did that then my blood sugars wouldn’t be as “normal” as they are when I have my insulin pump. • • My pump has been such a lifesaver. Instead of giving myself approximately 6-8 shots a day, I have to poke myself once every three days. The rest is just calculating carbs and pushing buttons. • • With or without injections or an insulin pump I’d die.🤷‍♀️ It wouldn’t be a pleasant death either. My blood sugar would spike and send me into DKA, I’d feel so weak that I probably wouldn’t be able to move, and eventually my organs would just shut down. It’s such an ugly truth, but it is the truth. • • If you show signs of diabetes, please go get checked out by a doctor. It’s honestly nothing to mess around with. Educate yourself on it and share the real information about it. So many people need to know what this disease is capable of. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• #speaker #type1diabetic #diabetes #information #educateyourself #diabetic #insulinpump #cgm #diabetictattoo #life #happiness #speakupandspeakloud #mylife #milso #navymilso #militaryspouse #navywife #sandiego

Day 2: Slept on satin pillowcase with hair down. It was frizzy and flat when I woke up. I’m gonna have to figure out a way to sleep... I don’t know if I can sleep in a pineapple. I’ve always slept with my hair down... I think I’m going to try a hair buff first. Any tips anyone? I refreshed a little although I’m not quite sure I grasp what that means yet. I’ve seen people do different things for it. I’m kinda confused! I just sprayed with conditioner water and scrunched. I’m dying for some @witchiloveyourhair magic mist! That stuff looks gold 😃 For a couple of pieces I wrapped around a flexirod for a few seconds. Seemed like a good idea 🤷🏼‍♀️ Haha wasn’t sure what to do with it. It’s a messsssss #curlygirlmethod #cgmethod #cgm #curlycommunity #day2 #firsttry #frustration #wavyhair #wavyswavy #newbie #ivegotalongwaytogo

Pretty annoyed right now. It can't all be positive posts when it comes to life and diabetes. We all know there are crappy days too. This is day 6 on this brand new sensor. No extending. #t1d #t1dlookslikeme #diabetes #cgm #medtronic670g #medtronicpump #insulinpump #medtronic #whycantwegetagoodsensor #dexcom #thinkingaboutmakingachange

Preach 🙏🏻 hence why we both cut down on carbs...meaning cutting down on insulin, meaning less spikes/drops! Love Meg and Belle 👭

I’ve pretty much had a Dexcom on me since I was diagnosed. (1.19.17) • Blessed? Yes • I have yet to put one on myself 😁 but @abelopezortega just does it so well 😜 Thank you my love for easing the responsibilities that come with Diabetes 💗 #type1diabetic #dexcom #dexcomg6 #dexcomwarrior #cgm #t1diabetes #diabetes #diabadass #love #type3 #healthylifestyle #bloodsugar #sugar #sweet #swheat #fitdiabetic #vegandiabetic #plantbased #flow #diabetesawareness #type1strong #type1lookslikeme #partner

My old sensor died some time ago and I didn't bother to order a new one. I guess it was one of those diabetic burnout moments for me. They just happen sometimes, even to the best of us. When you are just sick and tired of this everyday diabetes shit and want to have a break from it all. And it is ever so easy, when looking after a baby, to stop looking after yourself. I think it is time to kick diabetes' ass again. With the new sensor I am back in the game 👊 . . . #t1d #type1diabetic #cgm #dexcomg4platinium #cukrzyca #type1diabetes #diabetes
